In the last decade, Brazil has formalized national commitment to reducing hunger and implemented policies and institutional instruments to achieve that goal. Moreover, it has strongly supported production from family-based agriculture and family fishing, and has developed models of sustainable development for the exploitation of natural resources, especially for forest, fishery and environmental management. Thus, the Brazilian Cooperation Agency (ABC), through the cooperation projects it has developed, has enabled the dissemination of technical knowledge from Brazilian institutions in their fields of work.
